Dog Aide is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization with a mission to assist Detroit dog owners who are struggling to provide for their pets. Dog Aide's Community Outreach program was created to provide free dog food, daily care items, education on proper pet care, and assistance with spay/neuter to the Detroit community to help keep pets with their people.
Since 2012, Dog Aide has developed several programs to assist Detroit dog owners. As a result, Dog Aide has provided over 1,700,000 meals, spayed/neutered over 3,000 dogs, built over 60 kennels for dogs living outside 24/7, administered over 3,000 heartworm preventatives, and transferred over 300 animals to rescue partners - all at ZERO cost to the owner.
Dog Aide is entirely composed of volunteers from all over Southeast Michigan. No one on our team, including Board Members and Directors receives a wage or salary. Together, our dedicated team of volunteers commits more than 250+ hours per week to help Detroit dogs in need!
